Terms and conditions for scenic flights
All prices are in NZ$, GST included; per person and all options require two adult fares to operate. Prices and trip details may change without notice and are subject to weather and volcanic activity. Our cancellation policy is 30% within 7 days of departure date or 70% within 24 hours of the departure date, no cancellation is required if the flight is cancelled by HELiPRO due to weather or volcanic activity. Due to weight and balance restrictions on all aircraft, a surcharge may apply to all passengers over 110kg (240 lbs).
Are the prices per person or per helicopter?
The prices for all our flights and combination packages are per person unless otherwise stated. Charter flights are charged on a per hour basis plus any applicable landing fees.
What clothing or foot ware should I wear?
This depends entirely upon your chosen tour! For excursions such as White Island and Mount Tarawera we recommend comfortable walking shoes and clothes appropriate to the conditions on the day. It is always a good idea to wear warm layers and bring a windbreaker. For Mount Tarawera or the World Heritage Tongariro National Park we do recommend warm clothing be available year round due to the Volcanoes altitude and exposure to the weather!
For guided Heli hiking it is necessary to be prepared for most weather conditions as you may start your day in beautiful weather, however as some of these walks are in the alpine areas this weather can be very changeable.
You will need: sturdy tramping boots, layers of warm clothing eg. Merino / woollen, light / warm pants, warm hat and gloves. Your day pack should be able to carry extra layers, wind proof Jacket, sun block, sunglasses, food and water.
Do you offer a courtesy pick up service?
In Rotorua and Taupo we are pleased to offer a complimentary transfer service from within the central city area.
Can we use our cameras and cell phones during the flight?
Yes there is no problem using cameras or cell phones on board our aircraft unless specifically stated.
How long should we arrive before our flight is due to depart?
It is a good idea to arrive at least 15 minutes before the flight is due to depart
What time do the flights leave?
We don’t have set departure times as we fly on demand.

How many people can fit in a helicopter?
We have a range of aircraft catering for anything from two to seven passengers. Aircraft type is subject to passenger numbers flying on the day unless chartered on an exclusive basis.
