Your flight continues out to the West Coast, inaccessible by road, with stunning beaches and rock formations. Farewell Spit is next on the list and the northern most tip of the South Island. If you choose, we can land in the famous Golden Bay area for a coffee and a snack or even catch a Salmon or two. Departing Golden Bay we track the coast around to Abel Tasman National Park our smallest and most visited. Truly stunning with its golden beaches and private bays, a must see from the air! Back into the Nelson bay we fly directly for the Marlborough Sounds and its many back waters, bays and beaches. There are so many sights to see you will be overwhelmed. Passing overhead the quaint shipping town of Picton, we enter wine country where New Zealand became famous for its world quality Sauvignon Blancs. You will see the vast landscape of grape plantings that has made this region truly amazing. Land at your chosen vineyard for lunch and a tasting or we can suggest one for you. Our return flight to Nelson takes us to the foot hills of the Southern Alps passing over the beautiful alpine Lakes, Rotoroa and Rotoiti, both glacial formed many years ago.
